RouterOS 6.42.9 [long-term]が公開になりました。

前回の更新から一か月半ぶりに更新されました。以前の案内のようにブランチ名がbugfixからlong-termに変更になっています。

更新内容は以下の通りです。

RouterOS version 6.42.9 has been released in public "long-term" channel!

Before an upgrade:
1) Remember to make backup/export files before an upgrade and save them on another storage device;
2) Make sure the device will not lose power during upgrade process;
3) Device has enough free storage space for all RouterOS packages to be downloaded.

先に書いた通りブランチ名がbugfixからlong-termに変更になっています。また、ベースが6.40系列から6.42系列に変更になっています。long-termブランチを使用されている方は、大きな変更になりますのでご注意ください。

切り替わりにあたり、v6.42.8は開発ベースで一般公開は無いようです。

大きな変更としては、bridgeインターフェースにhardware offiloadが採用されました。CPUに影響を与えにくくなっているので、パフォーマンスが向上する可能性があります。設定時はdisabledになっているので、有効にするには各portをenabledにすることを忘れないでください。

またHotspot機能を使用している場合、DNSが無応答になる問題について修正されているようです。

filesystemについてはNANDメモリに書き込める可能性があった問題について、修正されています。Firmwareの更新も同時に必要なので注意してください。

IPsecについても動作周りに修正が入っています。ipsecインターフェースを通過する場合に、route情報をcacheしないようにしたことにより、動作の向上が図られています。

筆者の手元にあるRB960PGSやRB2011に適用してみましたが、特に問題は発生していません。

ただ、RB960PGSのether1になぜかDHCP-clientが設定されていました（私は特に設定した記憶は無いのですが）。logにerrorが出力されている可能性があります。
